ReelSpokane: A Homegrown Film Event



The Film and Video Enthusiasts of Spokane are excited to announce the availability of the submission form for our upcoming ReelSpokane: A Homegrown Film Event. You can find the text of the Form below, and a copy of the form is attached for you to print out, fill out, and send in or drop off at one of the two locations noted below. Remember, submissions are due no later than Tuesday December 1st in order to be included in our event. The screening will be on Tuesday December the 15the at the Magic Lantern as noted below.  We will release a poster of the event as well as soon as it is ready.

Be sure to pass this on to your friends and family if you think they may have something they would like to share with the community they live in.

Also we highly encourage you to go to www.spokanefilmfestival.org and apply for SpIFF as well as the ReelSpokane to increase the likely hood of your short being selected for viewing at the 2010 Spokane International Film Festival, but do so before the November 15th deadline for SPIFF 2010: FILM SUBMISSION deadline. be sure to go to their site as you can find information as it is updated for showings they are presenting around the Spokane area prior to SPIFF 2010.


REELSPOKANE: A HOMEGROWN FILM EVENT

ReelSpokane is a film event sponsored by the Film and Video Enthusiasts of Spokane (FAVES). ALL GENRES are accepted (documentary, fiction, experimental, music video, animation, etc.) and there is no cost to submit.

ReelSpokane will present short film and video works by local filmmakers at the Magic Lantern Theatre on December 15, 2009 (25 W Main Ave, Spokane WA).

Not only will your work be presented to the public at the Magic Lantern, but submissions will also be shown on Community-Minded TV (Comcast Ch. 14). Select submissions may also be screened at the Spokane International Film Festival (SpIFF). SpIFF accepts submissions until Nov. 15 at http://www.spokanefilmfestival.org.

Guidelines for Submission:
  1. The due date for all submissions is December 1st, 2009.
  2. Submissions must be no more than five minutes in length.
  3. Submissions must be entirely produced in the greater Spokane area.
  4. To be aired on CMTV submitted content must be considered rated roughly PG-13 or less* (See www.mpaa.org).
  5. Submitters must turn in the Community-Minded TV Program Submission Agreement along with the ReelSpokane Submission Form (available at http://www.community-mindedtv.org).
  6. Submissions must be made either on DV tape or as a data file on DVD and can be dropped off marked “ATTN: FAVES/ReelSpokane” at CMTV on the fourth Floor of the Saranac Building, 25 W Main, Suite 436, Spokane, WA 99201, or also at SFCC C/O Ira Gardner, Photography Building 11, 3410 W. Fort George Wright Dr. - Spokane, WA 99224-5288
 *The noted PG-13 guideline is provided as a generalization, the airing of content on CMTV is at the discretion of CMTV and their submission review board independent of FAVES and ReelSpokane. Content not approved by CMTV to air will still be shown at ReelSpokane: A Homegrown Film Event, and will be linked at both the ReelSpokane.com and FAVESblog.com web sites.
