Get Seen! Sick of waiting for Fall to enter local film events? So are we.
That's why Spokane International Film Festival and the Film and Video Enthusiasts of Spokane are teaming up for a Spring edition of ReelSpokane: A Homegrown Film Event on May 26th, 2010.
At the last ReelSpokane event in December, we packed the house at the Magic Lantern and showed two hours of footage from local filmmakers, amateur to professional. One of the short films shown at the first ReelSpokane, "Lady Luck: Case No. 37," directed by Jason McKee was later shown at SpIFF where it won the Gold SpIFFy for Best Short Film. Watch "Lady Luck" here.
This time around, we've lengthened the time limit on films from five to thirty minutes, so whether your short is thirty seconds long or just barely under half an hour, your film is eligible for submission.
ReelSpokane submissions will be judged by panel made up of local members of the Spokane film community, and only the best films will be chosen to screen. The show will be 90 minutes long, so make sure you send us your top-notch work!
Make your film the next "talked about" local film! Submit here. |
Submission Guidelines
- Entries must have been completed in the Inland Northwest after April 1, 2009.
- Entries must be under 30 minutes in length.
- Three entries per filmmaker are allowed.
- The submission fee for each entry is $10.
- All submitting filmmakers receive one free ticket to ReelSpokane; those whose films are selected to be screened will receive a second ticket. |

Tell your friends so they can submit, too. We can't wait to see what you've got! Sincerely, SpIFF and FAVES |
