Attention writers! FAVES is starting up a Writers' Group for motivating and providing constructive criticism for screenwriters and aspiring screenwriters. This group is for everyone, whether you've had an idea you've wanted to write for years and never gotten around to it or sold 7 screenplays.
If you're interested in being part of the magic, email writers@favesblog.com with the following info:
1) Your name
2) Your writing level (amateur, semi-professional, professional)
3) What you want out of a writers' group
4) Your availability (how many times a month? what day of the week?)
Once we've got an email list compiled, we'll send out an email announcing the first meeting.

This sounds absolutely great!! I hope I can convince local guys like William Cruz to come. I need to bounce ideas around and potentially hire someone in a month or two. I am a decent storyteller...but I have difficulty with screenwriting. I also want to do a short film in a documentary style (budget of 5g)

I also have a writers office downtown in the Plechner building that is, essentially, a writers nook. Great view of the city and the Steamplant Stacks.
I am quite confident we would have access to a conference room there for free via Steve Salvatori, who owns the building. (Lorraine too)
